The Visors, in three lines

Plays in your browser. No install, no launcher.
Seasons, like a TV show. Season 1: Skin Deep.
Choices that stick. The town remembers.

01 · THE SETUP

You step off the last bus with a bag, a debt and the address of a burned-down house. Reedmere is quiet — the kind of quiet that watches you back.

Somewhere between the hostel, the diner and the ruins, you’ll find the visor. After that, nothing in town looks the same.

A swaddled infant left on a lit doorstep on a snowy night, a figure in a long coat walking away down the street.
WHERE IT BEGAN

02 · THE DEVICE

The visor

Animation of the visor: the thin dark triangle flips over, a blue wave runs along its edge and the underside lights up; then it comes apart layer by layer and puts itself back together, face up again.

A titanium triangle the size of a fingernail.
The most illegal thing in Reedmere.

It clings to the temple, hides under a strand of hair, and speaks into the bone — a voice with no source. It reads what people keep beneath the surface of their words: what they feel, what they want, what they hope you never ask about. After the Shutdown, tech like this isn’t just banned. It’s the kind of thing people disappear over.

Rule one: nobody can ever know you have it.

Reedmere is small. People notice things.

03 · THE PEOPLE OF REEDMERE

Everyone here has two faces. The visor shows the second one.

Romance-first, story-driven.

A young woman standing against a plain background: wavy brown hair tied back, a cream blouse, blue jeans and brown ankle boots, a brown notebook hugged to her chest.

Eliza

The shop girl

Sells Sunday best at Vouros & Co. Knows what everyone wants to be seen in — and what they’d rather nobody saw.

A woman standing against a plain background with her arms folded: long dark curly hair, a rust-colored blouse, a cream apron over an ochre skirt and flat tan shoes.

Eleni

The café owner

Runs Karras Café, open till the last bus. She’s poured coffee for every goodbye this town has ever said.

A woman standing against a plain background with her hair pinned up and glasses pushed onto her head, in a gray cardigan over a white collared blouse and a long dark green skirt, holding a green hardback book.

Adela

The librarian

Keeps the town records. Some pages are missing on purpose.

A woman standing against a plain background: ginger hair in a high bun, a white crop top, black shorts, a pink sweatshirt tied at the waist, white sneakers and a black gym bag over one shoulder.

Tereza

The gym girl

Iron Pulse in the morning, her father’s garage on weekends, accounting textbooks at night. Strong hands, stronger opinions.

A woman standing against a plain background: long dark wavy hair, a fitted cream top, high-waisted brown tailored trousers with one hand in a pocket, and pale heels.

Diana

The mayor’s daughter

The town’s golden girl. Every golden thing in Reedmere has a shadow.

A woman standing barefoot against a plain background: long red curly hair with a paintbrush pushed through it, a loose paint-flecked linen shirt and trousers, a paint-stained rag in one hand.

Niamh

The painter

Paints Reedmere from memory — including the buildings that burned down.

A woman standing barefoot against a plain background with her arms crossed: glasses, hair in a high ponytail, an oversized dark printed T-shirt and loose beige trousers.

Polina

The sysadmin

Keeps Reedmere’s wires alive. Hers is the top-floor blue glow that never turns off.

PLACES YOU’LL LIVE IN

A weathered wooden tavern at dusk with a hanging sign reading The Anchor, its windows glowing warm along a stone harbor promenade lined with lamp posts and moored fishing boats.

The Anchor

Open late, lit low. The counter has heard every version of every story in town — and Sasha remembers which one was true.

A whitewashed house with a terracotta-tile roof behind a low white garden wall on a dirt lane, a closed wrought-iron gate in the wall, a pomegranate tree heavy with fruit and geraniums in the window boxes.

Casa Vega

Elena Vega rents out her spare room. Cheap, sunny — and the walls remember every tenant.

A two-story white building with a green cross and a medical center sign over its entrance, tall windows, a ramp with a handrail beside the steps and a bench by the door, on a cobbled street.

Reedmere Clinic

Soft voices, clean halls, thorough files. The clinic keeps Reedmere healthy — and remarkably well documented.

A weathered clapboard building with a red awning and a hanging sign reading Harbor Brew, its windows lit at dusk over a small outdoor table and two chairs.

Harbor Brew

Coffee on the promenade, two tables outside when the wind allows. The regulars say the sea air makes people talkative — the baristas just listen.

A glass-fronted building with an IRON PULSE sign over its entrance, floor-to-ceiling windows revealing weight racks and gym equipment inside.

Iron Pulse

Old iron, chalk dust, honest sweat. The gym fixes bodies — what broke them is your own business.

A small cottage with a glass-walled studio addition, easels and paintings visible inside, blank canvases leaning against the wall by a bench outside, set among pine trees by the water.

Quinn Studio

Turpentine, north light, and canvases facing the wall. Some of them stay turned for a reason.

more places

Diners, back rooms, the sauna, the ruins — every door in Reedmere opens somewhere.

05 · THE LOOP

How it plays

1

Read & choose

Story scenes with meaningful choices — what you say and do stays said and done.

2

Live the day

Explore Reedmere, meet people, manage time and money. The town runs on its own clock.

3

Look deeper

The visor opens paths others can’t see — and some doors are better left shut.

DAY 3 · 21:40 · THE BAR ON HARBOR STREET

The bar is empty except for you and the woman behind it. She pours without asking.

“First night in Reedmere? The last bus doesn’t come back, you know.”

1 › “Just passing through.” a lie — she’ll remember it
2 › Ask about the house that burned.
3 › ◈ Look through the visor — read what she isn’t saying.

08 · SUPPORT

Keep Reedmere alive

Every scene, every schedule, every late night comes out of one person’s week. If you want Reedmere finished sooner, you can buy it more of that time. Two ways in — a card through SubscribeStar, or crypto straight to the wallet.

SO I CAN THANK YOU
Which wallet did you send to?

You’re on the thank-you list.

When Reedmere opens, hears from me first — a personal thank-you, not a newsletter.

No address, no way to reach you — but thank you all the same.

Optional — but crypto is anonymous: without your email or transaction ID I won’t be able to find you or thank you after launch.

What happens to what you send — Privacy Policy

Crypto is a plain donation — no perks attached; those live on the SubscribeStar tier. Thank you either way.

ONE PERSON. ONE TOWN.

A desk at night: a laptop showing character sketches, a coffee cup, pinned reference art and a lamp.

Reedmere is a one-person town. I write the stories, art-direct every frame and build the engine; the AI pipeline does the heavy lifting so a game this size can exist at all. Support doesn’t buy promises — it buys production time. And the first people through the door will be the ones who knocked early.

Fair questions

When can I play?

It’s in development. The closed beta opens to supporters first — a SubscribeStar tier or a crypto gift; everyone else on the waitlist gets the letter when the first public version is out.

What kind of game is it?

An adult visual novel crossed with a narrative RPG: a sci-fi mystery told in illustrated scenes, choices that stick, and days of exploring Reedmere while managing time and money. Plays in any modern browser.

Is it free?

Launch details TBA — the waitlist hears first.

What’s the adult content?

Explicit sexual scenes and nudity involving fictional adults, in service of a story-driven game. Strictly 18+.

Read the full content statement
What languages?

Six at launch: English, Русский, 简体中文, Español, Português and Deutsch — the site and the game alike.

What platforms?

Desktop and mobile browsers. No install, no launcher, no 40 GB patch.

Who’s making it?

Hazel — one person with an AI-assisted art pipeline: the stories, the art direction and the engine all come from the same desk. A team of one, long nights, full creative control.

Is the art AI-generated?

Yes — openly. Generated in a custom pipeline and art-directed by hand: consistent faces, one painterly style, hundreds of illustrated scenes. It’s the only way one person can illustrate an entire town.

How often will it update?

In waves of chapters. The AI pipeline exists precisely so that gaps are measured in weeks, not seasons. No dates promised — the waitlist hears first, always.

How can I support it?
